Professional Personal Statement
Because the need for psychotherapy is often accompanied by emotional vulnerability and pain, and because it can require a great deal of courage to begin, you have every right to expect an atmosphere of safety, an assurance of confidentiality, a highly trained and experienced therapist, and a genuine and authentic fellow being.
Three-and-a-half decades of practicing psychotherapy have given me experience with a broad range of human problems and clinical solutions. Clients have described me as clinically warm and soothing, supportive, and caring, yet active and engaged. I have also been told that I have an ability to work with members of a couple who are reluctant to be in therapy. I try to live and teach a sense of inner peace and the capacity for healthy, respectful, intimate, and loving relationships. Living a meaningful life in genuine connection can be elusive. I’d like to help.
